Piazzale Aldo Moro, Roma
Makers Fair’s are global celebrations of the #makers movement. They are family-friendly and creative events that foster innovation and the development of the entrepreneurial ecosystem. They demonstrate how innovation can be applied to everyday life and inspire a new generation of inventors, and a new way of doing business. Makers of every age and backgrounds come together to present their projects, share ideas and their creative expertise.
The Maker Faire 2015 runs from the 16th to the 18th of October 2015 at “La Sapienza” University of Rome. There will be over 600 inventions on display from 65 nations.
On the program: live performances, panels, workshops, seminars, conferences and many surprises in store especially for children who will have a special ‘Kids Area’ to learn, play and create.
A handful of Food Innovation Program students will be attending and showcasing our 3Drag machine, an open-source Italian interpretation of the RepRap project, a platform to develop open 3-D Printers.
The machine is able to print chocolate and balsamic vinegar based on molecular gastronomy recipes. The project encourages users to think about the traditions and future of balsamic vinegar, as well as innovations in shapes and texture.
